Cause and effect:
Throughout Jackie Robinson's life, he had a lot of ups and downs. Those result in cause and effects. For example, Jackie played professional baseball with the LA Dodgers. As a result of this, He got in trouble with the commissioner of baseball, He got death threats from people, saying, quite baseball, or your little boy will die. And quite baseball or your wife will be killed. As a result of playing for the Dodgers, he got injured on, and off of the field. When he played on the field, he would get cleated,(stepped on by cleats that cuts you really bad), when he was batting, he would get hit in the head by the pitcher. And off if the field people tried to attack him.
Jackie stood up for African Americans. During the time period that Jackie stood up for African Americans, and played baseball, things were scary. As a result of him playing, corruption among black and white people got worse. Whites acted like they had more power, and rights than the black people. Blacks weren't being treated good at all. Especially Jackie Robinson. But he remained strong. The result of Jackie enduring, is him being honored as an American hero.He is also remembered every April when MLB player from all teams wear 42 as a debt of gratitude that is showed towards him. He sacrificed himself, so that that other African American baseball players can play baseball.
